Glendale, Burbank Community Leaders Endorse Greg Krikorian

GLENDALE—Elected officials and community leaders in Glendale and Burbank have endorsed Greg Krikorian’s campaign to represent the newly redrawn 43rd State Assembly District.  They join a roster of prominent community leaders and officials from La Canada Flitridge to support Krikorian’s bid for State Assembly.

“As a proud member of the community, I am honored to receive the endorsement of individuals I greatly admire for their years of service to the City of Glendale,” said Greg Krikorian, candidate for California State Assembly (43rd District). “As my campaign heads towards Election Day, I will continue to represent Glendale as both a member of the Board of Education and local voice that can relate to each one of our neighbors here in Glendale and throughout the 43rd District.”

“The City of Burbank continues to be a shining example of the diverse culture and industry that resides within our District,” added Krikorian. “Today’s endorsements are a strong indicator of how our message of sensible policies and sustainable solutions is resonating across a city with the rich history and economic influence of Burbank.”

For 11 years, while running his own local business, Greg Krikorian has served as a member and Past President of the Glendale Board of Education. During that time, Krikorian has left an indelible mark on a city he proudly calls home. His tireless work on the Glendale Board of Education, which includes advocating to reinvest in education, has led to a resounding endorsement by elected officials and community leaders in the City of Glendale.

The endorsements from the City of Glendale include President of the Glendale Board of Education, Christine Walters; Glendale City Councilmembers Dave Weaver, Ara Najarian, and Rafi Manoukian; Glendale Community College Trustees Ann Ransford and Vahe Peroomian; as well as esteemed former Glendale Mayors that include Carl Raggio, Sheldon Baker, and Bob Yousefian. Additional endorsements from Glendale include Past President of the Glendale Board of Education, Pam Ellis; former Board of Education members, Lina Harper and Chakib “Chuck” Sambar; former members of the City Council that include Mary Ann Plumley and Rick Reyes; and John Davitt, the former Superintendent/President of Glendale Community College.

Krikorian’s endorsements from the City of Burbank include Immediate Past President of the Burbank Unified School District, Debbie Kukta, City Councilmember Gary Bric, and members of the Burbank Board of Education that include President, Larry Applebaum, and Board Member’s Ted Bunch and Roberta Reynolds. Additional endorsements from Burbank include former Mayor of Burbank, Michael Hastings, former City Manager, Mary Alvord, and past members of the Burbank Board of Education that include David Nos and Elena Hubbell.

The Glendale and Burbank endorsements come on the heels of endorsements from prominent community members from La Canada Flintridge that include, esteemed members of both the La Cañada Flintridge City Council and Board of Education. Michael Davitt, a La Cañada Flintridge City Council Member, knows the importance of fiscal responsibility in restoring California’s economy.

Greg Krikorian is the Immediate Past President of the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education. He is currently serving in his 11th year as a Board Member. As a business entrepreneur in Glendale, Greg has been actively involved in many business, educational and community service organizations for over 20 years within Los Angeles County.

    This list of endorsees for Krikorian is stunning. To rack-up such a distinguished line-up is unprecedented against a “safe seat” incumbent like Mike Gatto.

    How did the voters of the 43rd elect an Assemblyman, who is so universally disliked? I have never seen anything like it.
