GLENDALE—A solo photography exhibition took place on December 13 at the Glendale Hilton to benefit the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry. The exhibition was organized by La Crescenta resident Ellen “Alenoosh” Moradian whose keen eye and passion for life and landscapes vibrantly reverberated through her photographs taken during her travels around the US and abroad.

More than 75 attendees enjoyed the well-organized exhibition, wine and cheese reception and had the opportunity to support a noble cause.

“I have always enjoyed traveling and experiencing life and capturing the moments through my camera lens. It’s just an extraordinary perspective and experience,” commented Ellen. She spent her teenage years in London and found her interest in photography, due to her mentor and brother-in-law, whom she sincerely considered as her older brother. “Although my mentor is no longer with us; his guidance has inspired me to continue and capture the beauty of everyday life”. This exhibition was dedicated to him and his colorful life.

During her short remarks, she thanked everyone and especially her family and close friends for their unconditional support. Dr. Frieda Jordan of ABMDR also acknowledged Moradian and the audience for their turnout and support.

“Tonight we celebrate life and Ellen’s take on life through her camera is now generously interwoven with saving lives at ABMDR” commented Jordan.

Moradian began her photography venture more seriously in 2009 and soon it was no longer just a hobby but a serious part of her everyday life. Her philosophy regarding photography is “Simplicity.”

“I attempt to capture the emotions and beauty from around us which we may not always notice due of our demanding and hectic life styles”. Her goal is to show “the life of an ordinary person in an extraordinary fashion,” explained Moradian.
