MONTEBELLO—On Jan. 8, a number of Armenian-American business owners, along with the “Nairy” Chapter of the Armenian Relief Society, were recognized at a Montebello City Council meeting for their generous support during the holiday season.

Mayor Pro Tem Jack Hadjinian stated, “It’s during the holidays when we really get to appreciate all the good things we have in our lives. Being in a leadership position, I have to do my part and help fill the void in others who are less fortunate. I can’t do this on my own, and I want to thank the business community of Montebello who have shown tremendous support for all my efforts.”

Mayor Pro-Tem Hadjinian organized four different charitable events during the holiday season: a college scholarship drive, a turkey giveaway to Veteran families, The Second Annual Harout Hadjinian Memorial Breakfast for Mesrobian School, and the Police Chief’s Toy Drive.

Special recognition was given to the Sarkisian family of NASA Services, Inc, who donated over 500 pounds of turkeys to Veteran families in Montebello.
