Navasartian Games Officially Open

Homenetmen Scouts carry flags at the opening ceremony of the 39th Navasartian Games

VAN NUYS, Calif.—On Sunday, March 23rd, the Homenetmen Western United States Regional Executive celebrated the opening of the 39th Navasartian Games before more than 2,000 Homenetmen members, supporters and followers at Birmingham High School’s stadium in the San Fernando Valley.

Present at the opening were members of Homenetmen’s regional executive, as well as Homenetmen Central Executive Member Viggen Davidian. Rev. Atmajian performed the ceremonial invocation after which the Navasartian Games were declared open for the 39th consecutive time.

Much is being planned for this year’s games, and information about teams and game schedules will be released in the near future. This year’s games are dedicated to the memory of Mihran Chimchirian, a Homenetmen Stalwart.
