A fitness class at the Montebello Armenian Center

MONTEBELLO, Calif.—Among the multiple activities that are always in progress at the Montebello Armenian Center, there are now new exercise classes taught by fitness instructor, Roze Bagoian. “It is a great class. We have a fun and energized group that works out twice per week. What is nice about the program is that it is designed it to accommodate any level. Each exercise is demonstrated with beginner and advanced level modifications. This allows the participant to achieve maximum benefit and prevent injuries. It works well for beginners as well as advanced members and everything in between,” Roze said.

The Monday class features circuit training, a cardio and weight training program. An all-in-one class with no time wasted, this workout is the most effective way to increases heart rate and metabolism for weight loss and weight training to tone and contour muscles.

The Wednesday class includes Pilates and Yoga, PIYO. Pilates is a conditioning routine to help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance. The yoga portion of the class is Hatha yoga, which is a generic term that refers to any type of yoga that teaches physical postures. It is an introduction to the most basic yoga postures.

Classes are from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 420 W. Washington Blvd. in Montebello. For more information regarding the classes, please Roze Bagoian (323) 376-4982 or email at rbagoian@gmail.com.
