PACE Sides with Azeri Policy on Artsakh

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)

STEPANAKERT—Artsakh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned a recent decision by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to prepare a report titled “Escalation of Violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan.”

“This decision as well as PACE Resolution 1416 adopted in 2005, which also contains inadmissible wording, are purely used for propaganda purposes, and fully fit into the Azerbaijani policy of undermining the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the Ministry said in comments to

“It is obvious that neither the mentioned report nor the resolution to be adopted on its basis is likely to have any political implications, as the OSCE Minsk Group is the only format accepted by the international community, including PACE, which deals with the peaceful settlement of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh.”

The Ministry added, however, that if Robert Walter, the PACE’s official reporter on Karabakh, insists on preparing an unbiased report, he should at least visit Artsakh as a first step.

Oh those lovely spineless European bureaucrats, bought and paid for by Turkey, Azerbaijan and the US. They can continue to bark as much as they like while we sit on the sidelines and what their countries rapidly deteriorate socially, politically and economically. The sooner the better it seems.

Those in glass houses should not throw stones– no country in Europe is deteriorating morally, economically and politically as quickly as Armenia is. You are in denial if you refuse to acknowledge this.

We should never be surprised at the duplicity of the West that has been stabbing the Orthodox peoples in the back for centuries. That is why I think it is a very good strategy for Armenia to join the EEU with the rising East.

The West is nearing the ending phase of its long decline into a super debt cycle collapse. What we do need to prepare for is the West lashing out in desperation as it declines further; note the desperation of the US in Ukraine and the Middle East, provoking immense suffering in its effort to try to maintain its position. It seems the West is willing to gamble on another Cold War or even much worse.

“The Rising East” will lose its wings once Putin is out of the picture. A multinational “governing structure” based on one man is bound to fail in more ways than one.

The same storyon and on again. Does OSCE and PACE understand that these are liberated Artsakh Lands or not?
If OSCE and PACE understand that these are Artsakh Liberated lands then the case is closed and no one has any business deciding the faith of this liberated land. In this case everyone wash your hands and simply go home.
If OSCE and PACE are questioning if these liberated Artsakh land belongs to the Azerbaijan, then the case is closed again and OSCE and PACE must wash their hands and head to their homes because the brave people of Artsakh and Armenians all over the world will not let any inch of this liberated territory handed to Azerbaijani Turks.
We Armenians were subject to a Genocide by the Turkish barbarians. We have lost our Western Armenian lands for now. Artsakh is Armenian and anybody out there do not dare to mess with the destiny of Armenians. There is no trust in you. Just get the hell out of our lands.

Where was PACE when Safarov was chopping
Heads with a axe? Where was PACE when
Christian graves where being distorted in Naxchevan?
PACE can say what ever they want but what they
Can’t say is that they care about democracy and
Human rights ! God bless Armenia

But didn’t PACE notice a whole referendum in Artsakh? It happened just before the war started by Azerbaijan against civilians of Artsakh. I don’t know what ‘occupation” they keep whining about. PACE should stick to EUropean values and principles, instead of supporting the loser.
