Armenian Student Leadership Retreat Set for January 9-11

All ASA Leadership Retreat 2015

LOS ANGELES—Armenian college and university students are encouraged to register for an engaging and interactive leadership development retreat hosted by the All-Armenian Students Association (All-ASA) on January 9-11, 2015 at AYF Camp in Wrightwood.

“The purpose of retreat is to create a safe space where Armenian students can bond, grow as individual organizers and leaders in their respective communities, and ultimately take their experiences with them to campus in order to develop their local Armenian Student Associations,” explained Emil Gorgoyan, a senior at Cal Poly Pomona and President of the All-ASA.

The retreat will feature interactive teambuilding activities, workshops on organizing basics, and discussions focused around themes such as: Armenian identity, the purpose of Armenian student organizations, and the legacy of activism Armenian students inherit when they enroll in a college or university.

Workshops and discussions will be led by city officials, community leaders, and professionals who are ASA alumni. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to bond with fellow Armenian students from different campuses from across the state.

Current college and university students, recent alumni, and active members of community organizations (such as the Armenian Youth Federation, Alpha Epsilon Omega or Alpha Gamma Alpha) are also encouraged to apply.

The $55 fee includes registration, lodging, and all meals. You can register at itsmyseat.com/allasa.

If costs are a serious concern and you would like to discuss a subsidy or fee waiver confidentially, please email ARFShant@gmail.com.

The All-Armenian Student Association is a non-profit organization which involves numerous college organizations that are united in representing the voice of college students in our Armenian communities.
