GLENDALE—For nearly 40 years, Massis Kabob at the Glendale Galleria has been serving fresh, mouthwatering, homemade Middle-Eastern/Armenian cuisine to its loyal customers. In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, Massis Kabob has expanded and rebuilt a bigger and better flagship restaurant that occupies 1,500 square feet making it the largest restaurant in the Glendale Galleria’s Food Court. Currently open, the newly expanded restaurant allows Massis Kabob to double the size of its grill and enlarge to a full kitchen to accept the high-demand of large catering orders as well as the overwhelming demand of devoted foodies who enjoy Middle-Eastern food.
Also known as The Original Kabobery, Massis Kabob first opened its doors simultaneously when the Glendale Galleria debuted in 1976. The restaurant’s long-term success has been attributed to catering to the needs of the Glendale community by providing restaurant-goers with high-quality, delicious and quick-served food at an affordable price.
“Our concept is simple – give customers what they want and do it at affordable prices so they keep coming back,” said Hacop “Jack” Baghdassarian, Founder and President of Massis Kabob. “In 1976, when the first Massis Kabob opened in Glendale, serving dinner-sized plates with high-quality meats and sides was a fairly new concept in ‘fast-food,’ something we are proud to say we have perfected after forty years of service.”
In celebration of its 40 years in business, Massis Kabob invited all city of Glendale Fire and Police staff, as well as the Galleria’s staff and security, to a free lunch on the opening day. “Glendale truly is our home, and we are proud to be here and we need to say thank you to the police and firefighters who protect our families in this great city,” said Baghdassarian. Baghdassarian was pleased that over 100 Glendale police officers, firefighters and mall staff took part in the grand opening celebration.
Massis Kabob offers an array of healthy and tasty kabob dishes that includes chicken, fish and beef as well as sides and appetizers like hummus, salads and dips. The Middle-Eastern themed restaurant uses only fresh, non-preservative/non-additive foods and ingredients purchased from local vendors, a rarity in the fast-food industry.
“Glendale Galleria is widely known for introducing first-concept retailers and restaurants such as The LEGO Store, Apple, Disney Store, Panda Express and Massis Kabob,” said Christina K. Riojas, CMD, Marketing Manager for the Glendale Galleria. “We are honored to have Massis Kabob as a thriving, enduring tenant that continues to offer the Glendale community a specialty food menu available at the Glendale Galleria.”
Since the 1970’s, Massis Kabob’s look and ambience of design emphasize the old roots of homemade cuisine presented in a clean, modern form while staying true to their core values. For more information, please visit massiskabob.com or like their Facebook page at facebook.com/massiskabobery.
