STEPANAKERT—Azerbaijani undertook fresh subversive attacks on Artsakh positions in the northeastern portion of the line of contact between Artsakh and Azerbaijan early Tuesday morning.
After a 15 minutes of fighting in very close quarters, Azeri forces retreated, leaving a number of weapons and munitions behind.
According to the Artsakh Ministry of Defense, one Azerbaijani was killed, several others were wounded.
The Artsakh Defense Army incurred no losses. An investigation into the details of the incident is under way.
Thank God that there were NO casualties on the Artsakh side; there have been too many reports with young Armenian casualties.
I have one question, for anyone able to answer. I have no idea what the front line looks like, even though I’ve see images and videos. But when the report says, “Azeri forces retreated, leaving a number of weapons…” Do they creep up to the Armenian side and when get fired at, just drop their weapons and run away? If that’s the case, what’s the purpose behind these sorts of stupid attacks other than your occasional taking down a soldier or two? Are these assaults just an attempt to keep the Armenians on their toes?
Good question Craig. If you would like to understand all this you need to start from amount of hatred and instigation that government of Azerbaijan has spread and spreads on its own people. Az a result Azeri people involved in this conflict dwell in retaliation madness for “lost territories” that they never actually had. (but that is another story) And yes you are right “Thanks God” because not always such small military incidents end up in such a score.
These monsters must be wipped out
Long live free and independent Artsakh. The hell with Azerbaijan and Turkey.
