ISTANBUL (Public Radio of Armenia)—Two of the three Armenian families of the Syrian town of Kobane, who fled to Turkey following the Islamic State’s attack on the town last year, are set to move to Armenia according to Ermenihaber.am, quoting a statement by the Armenian patriarchate of Istanbul.

The families voiced their wish to move to Armenia during a meeting with the Patriarchal Vicar of Constantinople, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan, at a refugee camp.

Ateshyan will see the families off to Armenia on August 30.
