STEPANAKERT—Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Bako Sahakian hosted a meeting on Tuesday with the president of the European Free Alliance, Francois Alfonsi, member of European Parliament Jordi Sebastia, and other European delegates for discussions on Karabakh’s relations with Europe.
Various issues relating to Europe-Karabakh ties, the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, and regional trends were discussed during the meeting, the Central Information Department of the Karabakh President’s Office reported.
Sahakian noted that development of relations with European countries and organizations was one of Artsakh’s pivotal foreign policy priorities, adding that all necessary preconditions have been set for continued ties with Europe.
During the meeting, Sahakyan awarded the “Gratitude Medal” to the director of European Friends of Armenia, Eduardo Lorenzo Ochoa, for consistently representing the interests and rights of the Artsakh Republic in European organizations.
Chairman of the Artsakh National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials took part in the meeting.
