Chamlian Students and Parents Give Thanks

8th grade students pose for a picture with their younger peers

GLENDALE—On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, Chamlian Armenian School’s Parent Support Committee (PSC) hosted the much-anticipated annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for the students with a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. The students got into the holiday spirit as they gave thanks for all their blessings. The first and second grade students welcomed the annual tradition by wearing their hand-made pilgrim hats and bonnets. Eighth grade students also wore festive hats while they happily served the meals to the 1st-3rd grade students.

Chamlian’s PSC will also donate five turkeys with all the trimmings, to be distributed to Armenian families in need through the Armenian Relief Society (ARS).

This event was a great success thanks to the many hours Chamlian parents spent preparing and serving the meals to over 500 students and 50 teachers, as well as the many Chamlian families who donated to the event by participating in the “Sponsor a Turkey” program.

Chamlian’s Administration is truly grateful to all the parents for their continuous support and commitment, and wishes everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.
