The Armenia Fund  Telethon on Thursday raised $10,378,465 in pledges and donations. The funds raised during the Telethon will be used to construct single-family homes for families in Artsakh who have five or more children and lack adequate housing, as well as to implement special projects adopted by the benefactors as part of a campaign known as “Our Home.”

Excellent idea. Anyone with less better get cracking. But seriously, anything that will increase Armenia’s population to a comfortable six million and Artsackh’s to one million , deserves my vote and support. Right now, there should be a ship docked in Latakia, Syria, taking on boatloads of Armenian refugees, that would otherwise suffer a long treck through foreign countries. Call Levon Travel and arrange for a nice cruise ship to Batum, and from there a chartered buss ride to Stepanakert, or surrounding villages. If Armenia took on 17,000 Syrian refugees, those are people who financed their own trip there. The poor, once again get abandoned to the great muddy snaking refugee lines clogging the roads to Europe, and despair, or drowning in the mediteranian.
