NORTH HOLLYWOOD—No Ho will again become No Ho Ho Ho! In what has become an annual New Year and Armenian Christmas tradition, the Armenian Apostolic Church of North Hollywood will once again be hosting a “Christmas Toys and Gift Giving Event” on Saturday, January 9th between 12 noon and 2:00 PM. The event will be held at the St. Paul Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church, at 13050 Vanowen Street, where the North Hollywood Armenian Church holds its regular services. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, the pastor of the North Hollywood Armenian Church, will be present to provide his blessings to all those in attendance.
The event is non-denominational and is open to the greater North Hollywood and east San Fernando Valley community. All children, irrespective of their racial, ethnic, religious, or cultural background who are between the ages of three and twelve years old will receive a free Christmas gift from old Saint Nick.
“The Armenian Apostolic Church of North Hollywood hosts this event every year as means for our church to express its gratitude to all the residents of our community and neighborhood. We are the only Armenian Apostolic parish within the City of Los Angeles’s eastern San Fernando Valley, a region that over fifty thousand Armenian-Americans call home. But our mission is to serve our entire community, Armenian and non-Armenian alike, especially those within the community who are underprivileged or in need”, stated Harut Tarpinian, chairman of the church’s Board of Trustees.
The major sponsor for this year’s gift giving event is the Law Offices of Maro Burunsuzyan, PLC, which has generously supported the church’s activities in the past as well.
