George Bournoutian’s A Concise History of the Armenian People (Arumenia-jin no Rekishi) has been published in a Japanese translation. It is available as a hardcover book with 528 pages and published in Tokyo by Fujiwara-Shoten. It is available on Amazon-Japan for 9504 yen which is about 84 U.S. dollars.
The translators are professors Shohei Komaki and Daisaku Watanabe.
Several years ago, while in Tokyo to present two lectures at the invitation of Sophia University, Bournoutian signed a contract with the Fujiwara-Shoten Publishing House to publish the Japanese translation of his book.
A Concise History of the Armenian People, currently in its sixth edition, is used in many institutions of higher education.
It has been translated into Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, Armenian and Russian.
A Persian translation is expected soon.
