Jerusalem to Host Conference on Armenian Genocide

israelflagYEREVAN (ArmInfo)—Jerusalem will host a scientific forum dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey, announced Amos Goldberg, Holocaust Studies faculty at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, during a conference at the American University of Armenia.

He said that in April 2015 Jerusalem hosted a similar event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial. It is the only contribution of Israel to the international recognition of that tragedy, he said. He expects an Armenian delegation including the best experts in Genocide Studies to also participate in the forum in June 2016.

He pointed out that Israel’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide at a state level is a complicated political process and Israeli scientists can take part in that process at the level of calls for recognition of that fact. In this light, the role of the scientists and teachers is to teach the truth about the Armenian Genocide to the students along with the truth about the Holocaust.

Goldberg said that Israel has not only failed to recognize the Armenian Genocide, but has also taken repeated steps to hamper the recognition of that fact by other countries. He stressed the need to do everything possible to tell the whole truth of real events of 1915 to everyone in Israel.

On April 24, 2015, Armenians worldwide commemorated the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey that claimed the lives of 1.5 million Armenians.

Now the Jews can add selling weapons to our enemies with which they attack our troops to their resume. Though abysmally pathetic, the Azeri military should not have gotten sophisticated support by Israel, they claim “business is business”, and by that adage, Astakh should make all drones and UAVs shot down available to Iran and Hezbollah so they can reverse engineer it and learn how to neutralize them better. Business is business.

I have no faith whatsoever in Israel to ever openly acknowledge the Armenian Genocide.
They have for decades stifled every effort in USA to stop the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, with the likes of Abe Foxman the who is openly anti Armenian and has headed all efforts to stop the recognition of the Genocide.
I do not trust these people and their shallow attempts to keep us at bay. Its never the right time for Israel to accept the Genocide, either they are on good terms with Turkey and do not wish to hurt the relationship, or they are trying to mend the relationship with Turkey and wish not to upset them. Well for this Armenian I say ENOUGH, and we will mobilize and take the fight globally to them to demonstrate to the world the deceitful and hateful actions of the Israeli Government and their lobby groups in Europe & USA who support the hideous actions of the apartheid state of Israel & their attempts to eliminate and exterminate Palestinians from their homeland
One minute Israel send urgent Laser Guided anti tank missiles to the oppressive state of azerbaijan, killing our people, next minute they try to soften the blow with a Conference on Armenian Genocide which a few Jews will speak very loudly about and yet most will snicker and deny the Genocide.
Do not fall for this trap, and ban the event.
