This fundraising platform, aimed at benefiting the vital rebuilding project of the ARS Soseh Kindergarten in Artsakh, is part of an initiative undertaken by ARS regions worldwide to construct a new building structure and playground for the kindergarten. Rebuilding project committees have been established throughout regions to actively help generate funds for this effort. The community’s backing of this event, organized by the ARS of Western USA’s rebuilding project committee, will be invaluable in ensuring a successful event, which will directly impact a growing generation of youth in Artsakh.

Established first as a safe haven for children of the soldiers of the Artsakh War, the kindergarten contributes to early childhood development and education in a nurturing environment. While the original building that houses the kindergarten was built in 1953 and the kindergarten program has been function since 1998, the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh Seismic Service assessed the need for its closure in April 2014. As a result, the Armenian Relief Society embarked on a large-scale rebuilding effort to construct a new 2-story structure and playground for the kindergarten, which will grow to safeguard children of Artsakh, who will benefit from the new development project aimed at creating a start of the art educational facility for youth.

Event tickets are $125 per person. A cocktail hour will be held from 5-6pm. The theater-style fashion show will begin promptly at 6:00pm until 7:00pm, followed by a formal dinner at 7:30 pm. The Universal City Hilton is located at 555 Universal Hollywood Dr., Universal City, CA 91608.

To purchase tickets or inquire about event sponsorship opportunities, the ARS Regional Headquarters General Manager, Jasik Jarahian, can be contacted at (818) 500-1343 or office@arswestusa.org.

I guess we never learn as Armenians. It’s only been a month since the mini war and funds are being diverted for retrofitting a kindergarden? We don’t need more buildings for the Azeris to shoot at, we need guns, weapons, and supplies for our soldiers and military! No more roads and buildings for Arstakh! MORE GUNS! Turn Arstakh into an Armory, not a playground.
