Shirinian is a high school teacher at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School and a Senior Field Representative for California State Assemblymember Matt Dababneh. She is also an active volunteer for humanitarian causes and most recently traveled to Jordan to run various educational programs for children in the region’s Syrian refugee camps. Shirinian has also directed the AYF Youth Corps program in various cities throughout Armenia and Artsakh for thousands of local students. Under her leadership, the Youth Corps program has grown to attract a higher number of volunteers, and expanded to additional program sites that cater to many more children. Earlier in her career, she has worked as a Policy Consultant at the Hrayr Maroukhian Foundation Social Policy Institute in Yerevan, where she organized youth empowerment programs and social-democracy trainings. She is a frequent lecturer and coordinator for a variety of events in the Southern California Armenian community and beyond.
