Born April 24, 1934

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and relative Varoujan Koundakjian, which happened on Friday, July 15, 2016.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Armenian Church in Glendale, 500 South Central Avenue. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.

He is survived by his:
Wife, Armine Karapetian-Koundakjian
Son, Sevag and Yerado Koundakjian and son, Kami
Daughter, Lalig and Aram Aslanian and daughter, Alik
Brother, Alexan and Suzy Koundakjian and son, Hrach and grandson, Alec
Late Sister, Arpine Sapatjian’s children,
Armig and Razmig Shirinian and children, Sanan, Saro and Lerna Shirinian
Lorig and Dikran Svazlian and children, Aleena and Alexa
Viken and Paula Sapatjian and daughter, Sophie
In-Laws, Charlie and Sona Aslanian and family (Boston)
In-Laws, Manuel and Keghanoush Abrahamian

And the entire Soghomonian, Injejikian, Djourian, Shahinian, Reyes, Titizian, Gureghian, Piranian, Harutiunian, Aslanian, Karapetian (Iran), Dorian, Yaralian, Boujikian, Apelian, Kayserian, Bairamian, Minas, Arakelian, Sarkisi, Avagyan (Armenia), Shirinian, Boudaghian (Armenia), Asadourian families, relatives and friends.

Following the funeral, a memorial luncheon will be held at Brandview Ballroom, 111 E. Harvard St., Glendale.
