Armenian Citizen Detained after Crossing Border to Nakhichevan

YEREVAN—An Armenian citizen was detained by Azerbaijani servicemen on Monday, August 15 after crossing the border to Nakhichevan. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Baku paid a visit to the detained citizen, Henrik Aghekyan, 61, said the ICRC delegation in Yerevan.

Aghekyan is a resident of Aygepat village in the Ararat Province of Armenia, whose family said he often went missing from home due to mental health issues.

During the visit, Aghekyan was informed that he can send letters to his relatives by way of the Red Cross.
