STEPANAKERT—Artsakh’s President Bako Sahakian on Wednesday met with a delegation from the Tufenkian Foundation and prominent Armenian-American writer and publicist Chris Bohjalian.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current and future Tufenkian Foundation programs in Artsakh. Special attention was paid to the cultural sphere.
Sahakian welcomed Bohjalian to Artsakh noting that his works are significant to presenting Armenian history, specifically the Armenian Genocide, to the international community.
On the same day, Artsakh’s Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan received the Tufenkian Foundation and Bohjalian.
Mirzoyan welcomed the programs implemented in Artsakh by the Tufenkian Foundation and noted that they significantly contribute to the development of communities in Artsakh.
During the meeting, Mirzoyan briefed on the challenges facing Artsakh, the efforts of the Karabakh people and authorities aimed at overcoming the challenges. He also stressed the importance of providing accurate information to the international community about Artsakh.
In this context, Mirzoyan expressed gratitude toward the important contributions Bohjalian has made to shed light on the Armenian Genocide issue as well as other significant issues pertaining to Armenians.
