YEREVAN—Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is set to resign on Thursday during a Republican Party executive council meeting, said Organizational Committee President Ruben Tadevosyan.
The meeting’s agenda will also include discussion of the succeeding leader of the party.
Sources told Yerkir.am that Abrahamyan is likely to be replaced by Karen Karapetyan, former head of Armenia’s gas distributing company ArmRosGazprom and former mayor of Yerevan.

Good riddance!
Wonderful news!.
What is his legacy? A country brought to massive poverty and the brink of destruction while “leaders” like himself made fortunes? The president wants to form a new government? Well, good news for his relatives who are waiting in the line to take the hospitals and other assets and continue robbing the Armenian people.
