LOS ANGELES—On Thursday, September 29, 2016, His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, arrived in Los Angeles, where over the next four days he will preside over celebrations of the 20th anniversary of his election and consecration. His Holiness was accompanied by Catholicosate Ecumenical Officer Very Reverend Father Housig Mardirossian and Audio-Visual Department head and staff-bearer Very Reverent Father Bedros Manuelian.
His Holiness was greeted at the airport by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, members of the Cilician Brotherhood, Central Executive members Khajag Dikijian and Vahe Yacoubian, ARF Central Committee members, and Executive Council members.
On Friday morning, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I arrived at the Prelacy, accompanied by H.E. Archbishop Mardirossian, Prelate, and Brotherhood members.
His Holiness and entourage were greeted with “Hrashapar” by Brotherhood members and clergy, led by H.E. Archbishop Yeprem Tabakian. The Executive Council and staff members were also present.
A prayer service was held at the St. Dertad and St. Ashkhen Chapel, followed by a special service at the Armenian Genocide Centennial monument, during which His Holiness offered an intercessory prayer dedicated to our holy martyrs and conveyed his first blessings to the Prelacy family. The Prelate welcomed His Holiness and congratulated his 20th anniversary of enthronement.
Later in the day, His Holiness held meetings with the Prelate, clergy and Executive Council members, conveying his blessings and message to all.
