LOS ANGELES—In view of the most recent attacks on September 30, 2016, on Armenian populated areas of Aleppo, which resulted in the death of five members of that already stricken community, the Armenian Relief Society expresses its deep sorrow, extending its condolences to their families.
To this end, we appeal to our community and friends to take part in our ongoing humanitarian efforts with contributions to the ARS Syrian-Armenian Relief programs. Your participation, at this hour, is essential to keep the momentum of our emergency relief efforts to a community which must, with all means, survive these tragic circumstances.

I think that the Armenian Relief Society should attempt something more daring than sending relief. The best relief for the Armenians in Syria is a boat in the safe harbor of Latakia taking on Armenians for the Batumi harbor in Georgia. From there a short bus ride to the Armenian or Nagorno Karabakh border. If Armeni and NKlost substantial population, here’s a chance to make a small dent in that population problem. What good sending food to people under fire. Have there food on the boat. Just call Levon Travel and ask them to organize a cruise. Latakia-Batumi and back with relief.
