The Quebec, Canada-based Bombardier (BRP) company said it has suspended the delivery of aircraft engines to “countries with unclear usage” after it became known that those engines are being used on Turkish combat drones deployed by Azerbaijan in the attacks on Artsakh.

The company, which is better known for its Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, said it became aware late last week that some of the recreational aircraft engines produced by its Austrian subsidiary, Rotax, are being used on Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drone, reported the Canadian Broadcasting Company.

“We have recently been made aware that some Rotax engines are currently used in military UAVs, and have started a thorough investigation immediately,” Martin Langelier, BPR’s senior vice president and the company’s spokesperson, told Radio Canada International in an email statement.

“In the meantime, we are suspending delivery of aircraft engines in countries with unclear usage,” Langelier added.

Earlier Canada had suspended supplies of military technology to Turkey, with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling for an investigation to reveal how the supplies appeared in Azerbaijan.

The Artsakh armed forces have shot down an attacking Bayraktar TB2 combat drone, which was equipped with a Canadian L-3 WESCAM CMX-15D optics.

Turkeys aggression against all its neighbours Armenia, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Libya, Greece and Cyprus to name a few, and Turkey’s fragrant violation of international law and uncivilized behaviour must be stopped in it’s tracks. I am proud of Canada for taking the high road to stop exporting military equipment and technology to Turkey in line with international law, high morals and justice! A wake up call for the likes of Spain, Germany and Hungary who set economic interests above justice and moral standards, what a shame. We need more Canadas in this world if there is to be any hope of stoping the slide into chaos with the emergence of destructive jihad lead by Turkey. Restoring civilized world order is still possible with Joe Biden as the leader of the free world!
