New Armenian Website Launched

The Armenian Cultural Foundation announced the launching of "armenian.org," the World Wide Web’s most comprehensive site for Armenian news and views. "armenian.org" will serve as a gateway for all Armenia’s to communicate–exchange information and receive the latest news on a variety of cultural and political issues.

Some of the services already available on the site include:

  • Armenian and International News links–including Asbarez-On-Line– Noyan Tapan–Armenpress–Horizon/Gamk–VOA–CNN–Itar Tass–Radio Free Europe.
  • An international directory of events where Armenia’s can post their event–or search for an event by geographical locations.
  • An international directory of Armenian organizations–where different organizations can post their organizational information by geographical and organizational type.
  • A chat room where Armenia’s from around the world can chat with each other.
  • Bulletin boards for the use of every individual who would like to post an opinion. armenian.org believes in the freedom of speech– and therefore would like to encourage everybody to post their thoughts–ideas–suggestions–commen’s and criticism.
  • A survey room where different topics of interest to the Armenia’s in general will be voted on. Current topics include: Recognition for the Republic of Karabakh? Second or Third Republic? Early Parliamentary Election in Armenia? Armenian Citizenship?
  • A Classified section. Got something you want to sell? Looking to buy? This is the place! And you can place your classified ad free of charge.
  • A Famous E-mail site which includes the e-mail addresses of both Armenian Catholicoi.
  • Interesting Armenian Sites.
