GLENDALE — The ninth anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh liberation struggle will be marked over the weekend with two celebration events scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Organized jointly by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Glendale "Avedis Aharonian," Burbank "Nigol Aghbalian" and the Crescenta Valley "Simon Zavarian" gomidehs–both functions will be held under the auspices of the ARF Western US Central Committee.
A public gathering marking this momentous anniversary will take place Saturday–Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Glendale High School Auditorium–where Giro Manoyan–editor of Horizon–our sister publication in Canada–is scheduled to keynote the event. A cultural program is also planned for the event.
Prior to this–on Friday–Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. a dinner celebration will be held at the Pasadena Armenian Center–featuring patriotic songs by renowned singer Karnig Sarkissian.
