Restoration of Gas Supply Estimated at $800 Million

YEREVAN (Golos Armenii)Investmen’s of up to $800 million are needed to restore the supply of natural gas to Armenia–reported representatives of Kantor (Greece) and Decon (Germany) oil companies.

The companies presented their findings in a report entitled "Overview of the System of Prices–Money Collection and Financial Accounting in the Gas Supply System of the Republic of Armenia." The study began in the spring of last year.

Head of the program Afanasios Kikas said that–based on collected information–Kantor and Decon estimated that the gas supply system will be profitable if the average price for the supply of gas is increased to $110 per 1,000 cubic meters–instead of the current $75.
