YEREVAN (Armenpress) – During a press conference Sunday–Constitutional Court President Gagik Haroutiunian explicitly denied reports of his possible candidacy for the prime minister’s position.
Haroutiunian–who from Nov. 1991 to June 1992 acted as vice-president and prime minister– said that he will not become prime minister again.
Expressing his regret over Armen Sarkissian’s resignation–Haroutiunian pointed out that the new prime minister should have Sarkissian’s peculiarities–attach importance to social issues–hold talks with the opposition and develop Armenia-Diaspora relations.
