ANCA Participates in Washington DC Conference With International Affiliates Br Representatives From Western Hemisphere And Australia Coordinate Support for Armenia And Nagorno Karabagh

WASHINGTON–DC — Representatives of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and its international affiliates from throughout the Western Hemisphere and Australia gathered in Washington– DC this past weekend for a three day conference in support of the independence of Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh.

The conference–which ran from March 14th through 16th–included extensive discussions relating to the advancement of the broader national aspirations of the Armenian nation and the promotion of the growth of democracy and social justice. The gathering in Washington– DC will be followed by a series of similar inter-regional meetings involving the Middle East–the New Independent States–and Europe.

"If we are to meet the great challenges facing the Armenian nation we will need to integrate the world-wide resources of the Armenian community in support of a modern Armenian statehood which will serve as a model of democracy for the region," said Mourad Topalian–Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America.
