Yerevan’s Chief Architect Resigns

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Noted Armenian architect-turned folk singer Artur Meschyan–who was appointed as Yerevan’s chief architect resigned from his post–sources reported Wednesday. "If there was only one reason–I would say it. But there is a heap of reasons," Meschyan was quoted as saying. Meschyan was appointed to this position by Yerevan Mayor Vano Siradeghian and returned to Armenia after eight years of living in the United States.
