Armenia to Repay Partial Turkmen Debt By Production

YEREVAN (EIS Express)–Part of Armenia’s debt to Turkmen’stan for the supply of natural gas will be paid by Armenian production.

According to the head of the Hrazdanmash hydroelectric plant Telman Ter-Petrosyan–this agreement was reached during a tri-lateral intergovernmental meeting of Armenia–Turkmen’stan and Iran.

According to Ter-Petrosyan–Turkmen’stan will buy Armenia’s production of chemical–mechanical–engineering and metallurgical industries–worth $20 million.

The final list of exported production will be prepared in the nearest future. Ter-Petrosyan also said that a contract for $10 million has been signed by the Iranian Financial-Industrial group Janbasan.

The company will supply raw materials worth $5 million and will buy industrial production–worth $5 million made of these raw materials.
