Karabakh Elections Postponed Again

YEREVAN (Azg daily)–A special session of the Karabakh parliament was held in Stepanakert Friday–with the participation of Acting President Leonard Petrosian and Defense Minister General Lieutenant Samvel Babayan.

Spokesperson for the National Assembly Rudolf Martirosian said that the deputies discussed the only topic on the agenda–the changes on the presidential election laws.

According to the acting law–elections should be carried out on the 40th day after the former president’s resignation. Petrosian and Babayan proposed that the terms be changed.

As a result of the discussions the parliament decided that the elections be held 160 days after the resignation date.
