Armenia Cyprus Draft Agreemen’s Reviewed

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Details of an upcoming visit by the President of Cyprus to Armenia and a discussion on draft agreemen’s which are to be signed during that visit were discussed at a meeting in Nicosia attended by the President of Cyprus–Glafacos Kleridis–and Armenia’s Ambassador to Cyprus–Arman Kirakossian.

The sides discussed a number of problems–including the present state of bilateral relations–similarities between Cyprus and Karabakh and Armenia-Cyprus cooperation–as well as some international problems of mutual interest.

On April 23–Kirakossian addressed a meeting held in recognition of the 82nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide–and on behalf of the Armenian government–thanked the Cypriot government and the people for their tremendous support concerning the recognition of the Genocide.

Kirakossian was given the literary archives of Hovhanes Shakhmelian–the prominent Armenian philosopher–writer–teacher and translator.
