YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"The principal value of this monograph is its huge documentary material widely covering the problem of the Genocide of Armenia’s," Editor-in-chief of the Armenian Encyclopedia Konstantin Khoudaverdian described former dissident and political prisoner Georgy Khomizuri’s new book Social Collisions in Fate of Nations-Example of Armenia published in Moscow in April.
This project which was funded by a grant from the John D. and Catherine T. McArthur Foundation covers the persecution and terror of Armenia’s from 1894-1991.
More than 300 documentary sources have been used in this project which also has 21 appendices–among them intergovernmental agreemen’s–speeches–written statemen’s by politicians.
According to Khoudaverdian–in his book Khomizuri argues that the Genocide of Armenia’s was not accidental–but a system of annihilation laid down by the Turkish government–which was being used by the Soviet totalitarian regime.
Thereby the book convincingly proves that it is that very system that produced the recent events in Sumgait–Baku and Nagorno-Karabakh.
