YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenia’s Prime Minister–Robert Kocharian met with the Chairman of the United Nations Committee for Drug Control–Hamid Godsi–to discuss plans for an effective way to deal with drug trafficking.
Kocharian told Godsi that Armenia has conformed to all international laws and regulations regarding drug trafficking. He emphasized that the government was giving top priority to the problem and was doing everything possible to prevent Armenia from becoming a transit corridor for drug traffickers.
Kocharian emphasized the importance of providing modern equipment to make the combat against drug trafficking more efficient.
