YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A conference addressing various issues concerning Nagorno-Karabakh will be held June 25 and 26–at the National Academy of Sciences in fringes of preparations for the forthcoming Pan-Armenian Assembly in Support of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The conference will be attended by representatives of political and public organizations–scientists and specialists–leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia–head of the steering committee Aram Sargssian reported.
He said that the conference is expected to adopt a declaration on convocation of the pan-Armenian assembly–historic note regarding Karabakh–a memorandum to the UN calling for the just resolution to the conflict–as well as a letter to participants of the conference of Islamic countries scheduled for September. This note will dismiss perceptions and allegations of religion as a central object in the conflict.
