YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The government of Armenia approved Thursday a plan of privatization of Armenian Airlines and Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport–deputy chief of the Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia Armen Ter-Tachatian reported.
Armenian Airlines is currently preparing for privatization–he said–adding that the government intended to privatize the company through an international tender in association with the World Bank.
A passenger complex of the Zvartnots airport will be downsized to several joint ventures. In both cases the preference will be given to foreign companies.
