YEREVAN (SNARK)–Negotiations between a Ukrainian expert group and an Armenian governmental delegation headed by the Industry and Trade Minister Garnik Nanagoulian were conducted between June 23 and 26 in Kiev. The two sides expressed their position towards bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed a number of mutually beneficial issues.
The Press Office of the Ukrainian Embassy in Armenia reported that among issues discussed were Armenian purchase of foodstuffs from the Ukraine–and Ukrainian distribution of Armenian brandy and wine. The parties discussed enhancing cooperation between the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade and Armenia’s Industry and Trade Ministry.
With regards to Nagorno-Karabakh–the two sides agreed that the conflict should be solved based on negotiations and peaceful means only.
The Ukrainian delegation presented the draft declaration to be signed by the two presidents during Ter-Petrosyan’s visit to the Ukraine July 22-23.
