YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia–Andrey Ournov visited the Information and Book-Publishing Department of Armenia Tuesday to discuss the current state and prospects for cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the field of information.
The Department’s Chief Garegin Chugaszian dwelt on the major trends of his department’s work and plans for the future. The sides also addressed problems related to the latest agreemen’s within the framework of the CIS Economic Committee regarding the fields of information and telecommunications within the CIS–including the creation of a common information and telecommunication field in the CIS.
The sides also discussed problems to be discussed still now–among them the delivery of the Russian press to Armenia in greater volumes and within a shorter period of time–which can become the first sign of the efficient cooperation between the Russian Embassy and the Information and Book-Publishing Department of Armenia.
