Several Armenia’s were among the hundreds of names released recently as owning dormant Swiss bank accounts dating back to the World War II era.
In light of recent revelations by US and German officials that hundreds upon thousands of pre-World War II Swiss bank accounts still existed within the country that had been dormant for some fifty years–individuals–family members or heirs who may have owned–or know someone who may have owned–such an account–are being asked to contact Ernst &Young LLP c/o Dormant Accounts at 787 Seventh Avenue–New York–NY. 10019.
Armenia’s appearing on the list were Agop Hatcherian of Grasse–France; Dr. Corneliu Grigorian of Bucharest–Romania; Araksi Kaspyan of Istanbul–Turkey; Ida Merian of the United States; Souren Nouradormikian; R. Ebros and R. Papazian of Paris–France; Dr. Nichan Garabet Takvorian of Sofia–Bulgaria; Anna Trapesonzian of Yerevan–Armenia–and Dr. Chatscheres Trpesonzian of Yerevan–Armenia.
Swiss Banks Society released the information Tuesday–going against its own confidentiality provision.
