Horizon TV to Mark 1 000th Broadcast

LOS ANGELES–The Horizon Television Program hit the airwaves eight years ago–and on Friday–Nov. 7–the Program will air its 1000th show.

On this occasion the community will celebrate this milestone at a dinner-banquet–where more than 50 individuals who have been instrumental in Horizon’s success will be honored.

The banquet–which is being organized by a sub-committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Western US Central Committee–will also see the participation of Western Prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian.

The committee members are: Avak Avakian–Ara Kalfayan–Stepan Kabadaian–Nora Yacoubian–Carmen Yaralian–Osan Tashjian–Garbis Hindoyan–Jasik Jarahian–Silva Minassian–Suzy Minoyan–Koko Balian–Hrant Dosdoumian–Movses Panossian–Terese Kemanjian–Verona Ourfali–Harry Vorperian and Hourig Frenzian. Also participating in the organizing committee are Horizon TV and Asbarez representatives Chake Ajemian–John Kossakian–Ara Khachatourian–Silva Yeghiaian and Vigen Khachatour.

The Committee has secured the Universal City Hilton Hotel for the site of the festive occasion–as well as the talents of community artists Manuel–Vatche–Martik–Hovig Krikorian and Harout Pamboukchian.

Horizon is currently broadcast five times weekly in the greater Los Angeles area–in addition to weekly broadcasts in Armenian-populated locales of northern California.

Horizon Live can be seen three time a week in Glendale and Burbank.
