Yerevan Cognac Plant Fate to Be Decided in December

YEREVAN (Golos Armenii/Arka)–No concrete proposals have been made for the international privatization tender for acquisition of the Yerevan Cognac Plant so far–yet major foreign companies have shown significant interest toward the plant.

Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Voskanian said the tender was moved from October to Dec. 15–so that the potential buyers can have sufficient time to get acquainted with the situation in the plant.

The minister believes that regardless of who will own the plant–it will continue to produce Armenian cognac. "The names of the bran’s may change– but the quality will remain the same," he stressed.
