HOLLYWOOD–Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School seniors Lucine Danagian and Arsine Etchigian have been accepted to California Institute of Technology and Baylor University–respectfully–continuing the institution’s long-running reputation as having one of the top high school-to-college graduation rates among private schools.
Danagian will be a molecular biology major–and was one of only 500 students to be accepted to the world-renown institute in Pasadena from 2,500 applicants–joining the top 2 percent of the nation’s elite.
Etchigian–will attend Baylor University in Texas as a pre-med major–and along with Danagian–received her letter of acceptance much earlier than the usual February notification period of many of the nation’s top schools.
"This is yet another example of how Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School has not only competed with the nation’s best high schools over the years–but has surpassed them," said Principal Viken Yacoubian. "Lucine’s and Arsine’s success is just the beginning of the upcoming success we expect from the class of 1998."
