Armenian Ambassador Terrorized by Greek Group

The automobile of Armenian Ambassador to Greece Aram Giragossian–parked in front of his residence–was set on fire Friday morning. The "Arsonists of Conscience" group claimed responsibility for the crime.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee condemned the actions of the group and hoped that Greek law enforcement agencies would soon identify those in charge of this violent act.

An announcement released by the Armenian Embassy in Greece–quotes the police department of the New Zmion region of Athens stating that the act of arson was not aimed against the Armenian Ambassador or Armenia. The incident was one of 40 similar cases reported in Athens–in January.
