Azerbaijan Awaits Presidential Elections in Armenia

BAKU (Azg)–The Chief Foreign Advisor to President Aliyev–Vafa Goulouzade–said in an interview with "Milat" daily newspaper that the current political situation would not permit confrontation between Turkish and Armenian forces.

Goulouzade stated that the situation in Armenia is a result of internal issues. He said–"Separatists have seized power in Armenia. They may not be expressing the interests of the Armenian people."

He concluded–"Yerevan started the business of peaceful resolution–but Karabakh separatists hindered it. How the conflict will develop now will be clear after the presidential elections in Armenia."
