Kocharian Meets with Georgian Ambassador

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Acting President and Prime Minister Robert Kocharian met Wednesday with Gigla Baramidze who has completed his term as Georgian Ambassador to Armenia.

Baramidze expressed his gratitude to Armenian authorities for their assistance and camaraderie.

Kocharian told the Georgian diplomat that Armenia viewed Georgia as its strategic ally and that peace and stability in the region largely depended on constructive cooperation between the two nations. He also stressed their centuries-old history of friendly relations.

The two emphasized that contracts and legal documen’s signed between the two countries marked a beginning for effective cooperation.

Thanking Baramidze for his cooperation–Kocharian wished him success in his future endeavors.
