Russian Observer Approves of Election Process

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"None of the presidential candidates have yet provided any serious evidence to recognize the election null and void," Central Electoral Commission Deputy Chairman’said Tuesday in connection with the statement of seven presidential candidates regarding serious violations in the election process. He urged candidates to immediately present any withheld evidence.

The head of the Russian observers mission–Alexander Sevostianov–assured that according to international observers with whom he consulted that the election process was normal–without any significant breaches. "These are not factors which could impact the election process–but political conspiracy on behalf of people who are losing the election. Candidates–have enough courage to admit your defeat," Sevastianov advised.
