Lebanese Bank Central Bank of Armenia to Cooperate

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"The president of the Lebanese Bank encourages relations with the Armenian Central Bank and expresses a wish that the interbank agreement of 1996 be put to business," vice-president of the Lebanese Bank–Haroutiun Samvelian–said during his meeting with the president of the Central Bank of Armenia–Tigran Sargssian.

A seminar of specialists of the banking control committee of the Lebanese Bank to held in the banking training center of Armenia will become the first real cooperative step–the Central Bank’s information department reported.

The visit of representatives of the Association of the Lebanese Banks and Commercial Banks will help fulfill the lack of information in Lebanon about the banking system in Armenia. The Lebanese delegation will hold meetings with top Armenian officials and presidents of a number of banks.

The president of the Central Bank of Armenia–Tigran Sargssian–expressed willingness to see Lebanese capital–especially the capital of Lebanese-Armenia’s–in Armenian banks.
