Caucasus News Agency Jumped the Gun

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Information released earlier this week regarding President Robert Kocharian’s pending visit to Azerbaijan was retracted by the Caucasus Press Service.

The news service reported that a presidential representative would attend the meeting–without disclosing that individual’s name.

Following an invitation from Azeri President Haydar Aliyev a delegation representing Armenia will attend the scheduled TRACECA conference in Baku.

The government of Armenia–however–has not yet determined the extent by which the country would participate.

The forum is scheduled to discuss issues concerning the creation of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor–the president’s press-service reported. But it is not yet clear who will be included in the delegation. The issue is under consideration.
